SWCHR ANNOUNCES PHOTO OF THE MONTH WINNER FOR MAY, 2008

The Southwestern Center for Herpetological Research (SWCHR) is pleased to announce that Patrick H. Briggs photograph of a male Great Basin Collared Lizard (Crotaphytus bicinctores) displaying its brilliant breeding colors has been selected as our Photo of the Month for May, 2008. His winning image was taken in at the Picacho State Recreational Park in Imperial County, California.

Our congratulations to Patrick on his winning photograph for the Month of May. Having his image selected as a Photo of the Month automatically places Patrick into the competition for our 2008 Award for Excellence in Herpetological Photography which will be presented in February of 2009. The Award for Excellence in Herpetological Photography consist of a cash award and a plaque mounted certificate.
