The Southwestern Center for Herpetological Research (SWCHR) is pleased to announce that Eric Runfeldt's photograph of a Broad-banded Copperhead (Agkistrodon contortrix laticinctus) engaged in caudal luring been selected as our Photo of the Month for July, 2009. Having one of his images selected this year as a Photo of the Month earns him a cash award of $25.00 and automatically qualifies him as a nominee in the competition for our 2009 Award for Excellence in Herpetological Photography which will be selected and awarded in February of 2010. The Award for Excellence in Herpetological Photography consist of a larger cash award and a plaque mounted certificate.
