SWCHR ANNOUNCES PHOTO OF THE MONTH WINNER FOR  AUGUST, 2008

The Southwestern Center for Herpetological Research (SWCHR) is pleased to announce that Gary Nafis' image of a beautiful Mexican Treefrog (Smilisca baudinii) taken in Cameron County, Texas has been selected as our Photo of the Month for August, 2008. You may click here to view Gary's winning image.

Our congratulations to Gary on his winning photograph for the month of August. Having one of his images selected this year as a Photo of the Month makes him a nominee in the competition for our 2008 Award for Excellence in Herpetological Photography which will be presented in February of 2009. The Award for Excellence in Herpetological Photography consist of a cash award and a plaque mounted certificate.
