The Southwestern Center for Herpetological Research (SWCHR) is pleased to announce that Will Wells' photograph of a female Elegant Earless Lizard (Holbrookia elegans thermophila) taken in the Santa Rita Mountains of southeastern Arizona has been selected by our members as our Photo of the Month for June, 2011. Our congratulations to Will for having his fourth winning Photo of the Month so far during 2011.
Having just one of his images selected during the year as a Photo of the Month earns him a cash award of $25.00 and automatically qualifies him as a nominee in the competition for our 2011 Award for Excellence in Herpetological Photography which will be selected and awarded in February of 2012. The Award for Excellence in Herpetological Photography consist of a larger cash award, and a plaque mounted certificate.
