The Southwestern Center for Herpetological Research has named Riley Campbell to be the moderator of the SWCHR Venomous Snakes Focus Group. Riley is a Nevada born herp enthusiast who has also lived in Texas and Tennessee before returning to his home state of Nevada. He has worked with venomous species for 26+ years. Aside from co-authoring a book on the Boa Constrictor, he currently has two other writing projects in progress which are focused on venomous species. The one that is nearest completion is on the venomous reptiles of Nevada. Riley was the curator of a reptile oriented zoo which had a substantial and diverse venomous collection. Riley who is a proud husband, father and grandfather, currently owns and operates a biological consultation service where his main focus is herpetological.
If you have an interest in the venomous snakes of the American Southwest, I strongly urge you to register for the SWCHR Discussion Forums if you have not already done so and to then become a part of the on-line community that Riley will be building the Venomous Snakes Focus Group into.
