Distribution:  In our region, this species occurs only near the brackish waters along the Texas Gulf Coast from the Texas-Louisiana border to as far south as Corpus Christi Bay in Nueces County.

Legal Status:  The Gulf Saltmarsh Water Snake has no protected status in our region.
