Distribution: In our region, this species occurs only in Cochise, Pima and Santa Cruz Counties of Arizona and in the extreme southwestern corner of Hidalgo County, New Mexico. All of these counties are adjucant to the Mexican border.Legal Status: Arizona limits the collection of Senticolis triaspis intermedia to two (2) animals per year and no more than four (4) in possession. In the state of New Mexico Senticolis triaspis intermedia is protected under state law as a Threatened Species and may not be collected without a special permit.
