Distribution:  In our region, this species occurs in south Texas from Calhoun County southward along the coastal region and into the Lower Rio Grande Valley. Further west, it also occurs in counties along the Rio Grande River from Maverick County westward into the Big Bend region of Texas.

Legal Status:  The Mexican Racer has no protected status.
