Distribution: In our region, this species occurs throughout the eastern half of the state of Texas, except for a very narrow strip of brackish coastal marshland extending from Port Lavaca, Texas to the Louisiana border. In this area it is replaced by the Marsh Brownsnake (Storeria dekayi limnetes).Legal Status: This species has no protected status.
