Distribution:  In our region Kinosternon subrubrum hippocrepis occurs throughout east and southeast Texas as far south as Nueces and Kleberg Counties. There are additional historical records for this species in central and south Texas that may no longer be valid.

Legal Status:  This species has no protected status in our region.
